The
aims
of
the
Kaohsiung
Film
Archive
Services
(hereinafter
referred
to
as
the
Archive)
are
fourfold:
(1)
to
offer
services
to
all
film
culture
and
art
lovers;
(2)
to
provide
relative
information
on
film
art;
(3)
to
promote
education
on
film
art;
(4)
to
hold
activities
on
film
culture.

If a
foreigner
wants
to
apply
for
a
borrowing
card,
he/she
shall
provide
his/her
passport,
residence
permit
or
any
document
issued
by
the
Embassy,
and
fill
in
an
application
form.
If a
patron
cannot
apply
in
person,
his/her
trustee
can
apply
for
him/her
with
both
of
their
original
IDs
and
an
authorization
letter. |

3 |
A
patron
can
apply
for
only
one
borrowing
card.
If
necessary,
the
Archive
has
the
right
to
checkup
a
patron’s
ID.
If a
card
holder
has
any
change
in
personal
information,
he/she
shall
immediately
notify
the
Archive
to
make
changes. |

4 |
Should
a
patron
loses
his/her
borrowing
card,
he/she
shall
report
to
the
Archive
and
re-apply
for
another
copy
with
the
credentials
mentioned
in
rule
2
and
NT$50.00
handling
fee.
And
the
re-application
procedure
for
damage
of a
card
is
the
same
as
that
of
loss. |

If
there
is
any
damage
to
the
Archive
because
a
card
is
lent,
lost
or
embezzled,
the
original
card
holder
shall
compensate
for
the
loss
of
the
Archive. |

6 |
All
the
books
and
audiovisual
materials
are
used
or
borrowed
exclusively
inside
the
Archive.
And
only
one
piece
of
audiovisual
material
can
be
borrowed
per
time. |

|
7 |
A
patron
who
enters
the
reading
room,
audio-visual
room
or
periodical
room
cannot
bring
a
schoolbag
bigger
than
A4
size
paper,
a
handbag
or
books.
The
lockers
in
the
basement
can
be
used
temporarily
for
storing
personal
belongings. |

A
patron
can
use
card-operated
photocopiers.
Copying
information,
a
patron
shall
observe
all
the
provisions
of
the
Copyright
Act,
or
he/she
will
pay
for
infringing
the
law. |

9 |
A
patron
should
keep
quiet
and
clean
inside
the
Archive
to
make
the
environment
peaceful
and
comfortable.
After
a
patron
enters
the
Archive,
he/she
should
turn
off
his/her
cell
phone.
No
smoking,
eating,
sleeping,
making
noise,
or
disturbing
other
users
is
permitted. |

Should
a
patron
does
not
observe
the
bylaws
and
does
not
accept
exhortation
from
a
clerk,
the
clerk
has
the
right
to
ask
him/her
to
leave
and
order
the
suspension
of
his/her
using
the
Archive
facilities.
Again,
the
clerk
can
report
serious
or
repeated
breach
of
these
bylaws
to
police. |

11 |
No
person
suffering
statutory
contagious
diseases
or
mental
diseases,
being
drunk,
and
being
dressed
improperly
shall
enter
the
Archive. |

12 |
Anyone
using
the
Archive
books
and
audiovisual
materials
shall
pay
compensation
for
the
loss,
damage,
marking,
annotations,
or
missing
pages
by
such
use.
He/she
shall
acquire
a
replacement
copy
of
the
same
version
or
the
newest
version.
If
not,
he/she
shall
pay
a
penalty
according
to
the
following
criteria:
(A)
For
a
book
and
audiovisual
material
published
in
these
four
years,
the
penalty
is
charged
at
its
published
price.
If
the
price
is
“basic
figure,”
the
penalty
is
charged
currently
defined
times
of
its
basic
price.
For
one
priced
in
foreign
currency,
it
is
charged
in
the
exchange rate
of
the
processing
day.
For
one
published
more
than
five
years
ago
(includes
five
years),
it
is
charged
double
times
of
one’s
published
price.
For
one
out
of
print,
it
is charged
three
times
of
one’s
published
price.
(B)
If
one
or
one
plus
book
and
audiovisual
material
out
of a
whole
set
is
damaged
or
lost,
the penalty
is
charged
at
the
price
of
each
lost
or
damaged
volume. |

13 |
The
Archive
shall
be
open
from
13:30
p.m.
to
21:30
p.m.,
Tuesday
through
Sunday,
excluding
Monday
and
statutory
holidays.
